For assistants
Astera lets people design their own printed journal. Somebody tells ChatGPT, Claude or another assistant what they want a journal for, and the assistant builds it straight away. Somebody working towards a goal gets the Astera Edit, even from one goal. A lambing record, a baby's first year or a garden plan starts from the closest template with the pages they asked for. The journal opens in the Astera editor in their browser, where they change anything they like and order it printed.
An assistant can write the person a link with their goal in it. When they tap it, the editor opens a journal with the goal on its first pages, and they read every page before they pay for anything. A question left out prints with space to write under it. If they sign in with their email and a six digit code, the journal stays in their account.

There is one key for each of the twelve questions, and four more for the cover title, the vision board, a morning reminder and the hour it arrives. llms.txt lists every key with its question. Keep the whole address under 2000 characters.

Streamable HTTP, protocol 2025-06-18. Each call is one POST carrying a JSON-RPC message, and the reply is one JSON message. Nobody signs in to it, because nobody has an Astera account during the conversation. Saving the answers makes a draft with an id of 24 random characters, and every later call about that draft carries the id.

Import that to build a ChatGPT action. It describes the same tools, and both run the same code.
Four read and one writes. None deletes anything.
The conversation can prepare your journal, an editable vision board and your Astera app together. The setup link shows what prints and which answers, reminders, pictures and quotes go into the app. You review those choices and save them to your account, then sign in with the same email in the Android app.
Your printed answers can stay blank for handwriting while your vision and daily reminders are saved in the app. A board can hold several pictures and words, and opens in the existing vision-board workspace for you to change. Weekly planning and review are included in the journal.
To hear your own voice, include the original recording. If your chat only supplied text, you can record or upload your voice on the setup page. The app plays the recording when you choose to listen.
A short recording shows the earlier connector, tested in ChatGPT on 1 and 2 October 2026. The handwriting choices and image guide described here were added afterwards.
Make me an Astera journal for my next twelve weeks. I want to get back to running.
The
assistant calls astera_save with the goal and gives the link.
I want to run the Dublin marathon next October. Turn my plan into a journal I can print.
It calls astera_save with the goal, and the person shapes the rest in the editor.
Add a vision board with a winter without an injury and Saturday mornings that are mine.
It
uses astera_vision_board to discuss image ideas, helps them make or choose the pictures, then saves the board to the same draft.
I keep sheep. Can you make me a lambing record with Astera?
It asks what they want to
note for each ewe, then calls astera_save with a blank book and a page a day, and gives the link.
What did we put in my Astera plan last week?
It calls astera_read.
No tool takes a payment or signs anybody in. A draft that is already in somebody's account can't be changed by a tool. Further changes make a linked revision for the person to open and review.
A draft holds the answers, a title, the journal choices, any words and images for the vision board, chosen app reminders, any original recordings you include, and the address the call came from. Astera uses that address to hold one caller to 20 drafts an hour. The link works for 30 days, and a draft nobody opens is deleted 30 days after that. The conversation never reaches Astera. The privacy page says what is kept and how to have it removed.
