Terms

Last changed 2 October 2026

These are the terms for using Astera at asterajournal.com, the free workspace and the Astera phone app. Astera is made by Spremt Labs Limited, 3 Nuns Orchard, Kinvara, Galway H91 X8F5, Ireland. Write to hello@spremtlabs.com about anything on this page.

Designing a journal

You can design a journal on asterajournal.com without an account. It saves in the browser on the device you made it on. To keep it on every device, or to order it, you sign in with your email and a code we send.

Planning with an assistant

If you plan with an assistant such as ChatGPT or Claude, it can send your answers to Astera. We keep them as a draft, and the assistant gives you a link to it. The link works for 30 days. The privacy page says what a draft holds and when it is deleted.

Your words and photos

What you write and the photos you add stay yours. You let us store them, show them back to you, lay them out and send them to the printer so we can make your journal. Only add words and photos you have the right to use.

Astera can't be used for anything unlawful, or for anything that breaks somebody else's rights. We can refuse to print a journal that does.

Ordering

The price is on the website and at the till, and it includes postage. Stripe takes the payment, and your card details never reach us. We check the print file page by page before you can order. Our printer makes the journal to order and posts it to the address you give.

Refunds

Each journal is made for you as soon as you order it, so it can't be cancelled or returned. If it arrives damaged, or we printed the wrong thing, send a photo to hello@spremtlabs.com within 14 days of it arriving and we'll reprint it or refund it, whichever you'd rather.

The app and the workspace

The Astera phone app and the workspace are free. Every account can download what it holds, and be deleted along with its recordings, from the delete page.

If something goes wrong

For an order, the most we are responsible for is what you paid for it. Nothing in these terms takes away your rights as a consumer under Irish and EU law, or limits anything the law doesn't let us limit.

Changes

When these terms change, the new version goes on this page with its date. An order follows the terms on the day it was placed.

The law

Irish law covers these terms. If you live elsewhere in the EU, you can also bring a claim in the courts where you live.
