What each column is for

Desires

Put the big and the small side by side. A week somewhere warm can sit beside six months of runway and time to read again. Circle one small one you could do this month.

Gratitude

Write the things themselves. I am healthy. The people I love. A body that walks. Friends who text back.

Things you love to do

Long walks, cooking slow dinners, reading in bed, the first hour of the day. Write the things you do for their own sake.

Why the three columns go on one page

You can read the columns against each other. Something you want might already be half in the gratitude column, or missing from the things you love.

Why ten in each column

The first few in any column come easily. Ten makes you look past the obvious ones.

If you stall, fill another column and come back.

Come back to it

The worksheet saves as you type. Come back next month, run it again and see which column changed most.

Questions

Is this Suzy Welch’s 10-10-10?

No. Hers is a decision test about how you’ll feel in ten minutes, ten months and ten years. This one is three columns of ten.

Can I fill in a 10-10-10 worksheet on screen?

Our workspace has one with a greyed example in every empty line for you to write over. It saves in your browser.

Can I use it as a gratitude journal?

Yes. Keep adding to the gratitude column between runs, a line whenever something comes to mind.
