Make your own baby journal

You choose what goes on every page of your baby’s first year, and we print it and post it to you.

It opens in our editor, and you only pay when you order.

An open journal called Fiadh’s first year, with one week to two pages. The left page has Weight and Sleeping in, a list of firsts with Smiled ticked, and the questions What made us laugh this week? and What do I want to remember?, answered by hand. The right page has a sleep chart for the week, the question What is she like this week? and a dotted space headed To tell Granny.

This baby book runs a week at a time. Start from this one

What goes in a baby journal?

Start with what you’d want to tell your baby about in ten years. What made us laugh this week? Who came to visit? What are they like these days?

One page of a journal called Tadhg, day by day. Under What did Tadhg do today? somebody has written Lifted his head on the mat! Under What made us laugh?, He sneezed and gave himself a fright.

Keep it light in the early weeks. A feed log with the time and how long, and a line for how you are, is enough when nobody is sleeping!

Later you might move to a week on two pages, with a weight, the firsts to tick off and a couple of questions for Sunday night.

Put their name in the questions too, so the page asks What did Tadhg do today?

Change anything before you order

You can rewrite any question, try a different layout and give each part more or less room. Add a quote, notes or the hours of the day under any section.

A change can go on one day or on every day in the book, so your birthday can ask something different!

The Astera editor open on the first day of My days. The question at the top of the left page is picked, with a bar of buttons over it and a handle on each side.

Then we print it and post it to you

When your pages are right, open the preview and read the whole journal on screen as it’ll print.

Then pick your cover! It can be a softcover, a hardcover or linen with your title pressed into the cloth in gold or silver foil.

It’s one price whatever you change in the book, and the post is included.
