Oprah’s What I Know For Sure started with one question
What I Know For Sure gathers the column Oprah wrote at the back of O magazine.
The film critic Gene Siskel asked Oprah what she knew for sure, and she had no answer. She wrote a column with that name every month for fourteen years. This book, from 2014, sorts those columns by theme.
Each piece is short. The sections have names like Joy, Resilience and Gratitude.
Oprah on strength, beliefs and love
You are built not to shrink down to less but to blossom into more.
We love this one! What I know for sure is that there is no strength without challenge, adversity, resistance, and often pain.
Our beliefs can move us forward in life, or they can hold us back.
You can read it before you write down a belief you'd like to drop. The happiness you feel is in direct proportion to the love you are able to give.
Ask yourself the same question again
This book goes with About me in the workspace. It asks what your life looks like now, what you want it to look like, and what's stopping you.
Oprah kept answering one question for years. You can do the same with yours. Answer About me today and again in a few months, then read both.
You can put one question on every day of an Astera journal. You add it once in the editor.
Try About me
We built About me into the free Astera workspace to go with this book. Your answers save as you go.
